Comic Book Spaced!

Have any nice drawings of Nicholas, fan fictions (stories) or anything else related to his movies and personas? Scantily clad, or just plain scandalous, by all means post it here!

Comic Book Spaced!

Postby thirtyhelens » Fri Jul 22, 2005 1:44 am

Well, I tried to practice my Photoshop skills again today, this time working with a tutorial for rendering images with comic book effects.

It didn't turn out quite right, LOL. But it's kinda cool anyway...

There ya go. Change the title of the thread to "Warhol Spaced!" (Just kidding. ;-) )

I used to be merely "proficient" in Photoshop, but I'm trying to get myself up to ad-building level so I'm practicing all the time. (And I tell you, right now? If you ask me how I did this I couldn't tell you, I just followed the instructions.)

I really want to know how stoneagequeen (she of the Pegg LJ community) created this icon:

That looks pretty good Nic! I must say, that's one of my favorite scenes with Tim and Daisy. It's coming along fine, keep up with that photoshop! As for me, I'm awful with the thing, but I do know the basics.

 Off to re-size and re-balloon for avatar-size...

ETA if anyone wants to take a crack at it, here's the tutorial....just eliminate the resizing to 100x100 step if you want to make a big'un like the one above. :D:

Definitely. I'll need someone to get me a good large screen cap, though...my WinDVD program is kaput and I haven't been able to cap anything for weeks. :-( I"m working off of what I grabbed from Harmony's gallery.

Thanks, Pip! Nice to see ya over here. :D

Made another one. Note the Spaced/SotD crossover. ;)

A bit more Lichtenstein than Marvel, in the end. But it's addictive. :D

So in a later issue, will the Amazing Sk8r Tranny join up with Eddie Izzard's Action Transvestite to fight crime and fashion faux pas?

I'm seeing a series, Tibs. Come on, let's do it! We'll be a regular Kavalier and Clay.

Last one... no, honestly:
