Dodger's Art Challenge!

Have any nice drawings of Nicholas, fan fictions (stories) or anything else related to his movies and personas? Scantily clad, or just plain scandalous, by all means post it here!

Dodger's Art Challenge!

Postby DodgersGotNothing » Wed May 11, 2005 8:13 pm

I'm currently in the process of buying decorative items for my dormitory in Athens... But there's a certain item I want that I can't get in any eBay auction..

Frostitution/Peggster Art!

So, I'm challenging you Frostitutes and PeggLeggs to an art contest..

What I'd like to see: (the actual challenge)

Dodger, from Disney's Oliver & Company (where I got my username and nickname), as everybody's favo[u]rite military man, Mike Watts.

There's a few pictures here for reference:

http://www.geocities.com/ddodger2000/altpicgallery.html
But of course, it's Geocities, so have your pop-up blockers on.

I highly recommend you rent the film (if you don't already own it) for even better reference.

I have an image of what I'd like in my head, but I can't draw to save my life, so I turn to YOU, F.Net, for the hard image!

The grand prize is the Manufacturer's Estimated Retail Price in cash of the Shaun of the Dead Special Edition DVD, up to $40 US or £21 UK, and money to ship the artwork to me so I can put it up in my dorm. If the SE DVD is out before the deadline, I'll pay for the DVD and have it shipped to you, including the cash to ship the artwork.

The second prize is $20/£10, with the possibility of cash for shipping.

Third prize is $10/£5.

Now, the guidelines:

Medium: Any medium may be used. I strongly advise against Photoshop, unless you really know what you're doing. You may even use Macromedia Flash.

Hard copy: If you do your artwork on a computer, the hard copy should be on smooth, glossy photo paper, free of any Windows-inserted text (e.g. the file path, the date, or page number.) Otherwise, the original copy will do.

Signature: Make your signature clear in the southeast corner of your work, but don't make it intrusive, so I know who did it.

Emotional factor: If you can't part with your work, so be it, I'll take a copy on glossy photo paper, but the paper must be signed.

Entry submission: Scan your submission and e-mail it to me. (jerseysowndodger@gmail.com) No other eyes will see it.

Deadline: June 2nd, midnight.

GOOD LUCK! :nick:

Hmm, an excellent challenge! Scarily enough my little sister happens to have Oliver and Co. on video but I suck at art. I might give it a go though... give me some time :D

I'll give it a go as well. I grew up drawing Disney characters; my childhood sketch books are full of them. Maybe I'll work on it today since it's all rain-y and grey outside...

I thought you wrote "Dodger AND Mike ", but really its "Dodger AS Mike". Opps. heh.

Aww.. man. lol

ETA: I changed my entry a bit... maybe it can still work.

I'm working on it but mine may be a last minute entry cos I'm swamped with exam work at the minute.

Was just wondering how you guys are doing yours? I re-read the original message and was like "Wah? Photoshop? Damn!" Mine's drawn on paper! So yeah, basically it's dodger with glasses and a moustache and combat gear on - I'll send a pic anyway Dodger when I'm finished cos I'm quite proud I managed to draw it

Me, too, finky! Great minds think alike, eh? I just drew mine on paper, scanned it in and emailed it to Dodger. I know I can't compete with Harmz when it comes to drawing skillz, but I hope Dodger gets a kick out of my artist's rendering at least. :D

My mistake. You sent it to my MSN address. Don't worry, I got it alright.

Anyone else want to declare for this contest? If I don't hear anything in 96 hours, I'll close it up early.
