The BBC has ordered a second series of sci-fi sitcom Hyperdrive, which features Spaced star Nick Frost as the captain of a 21st century spaceship charged with promoting British interests around the galaxy.

Frost has signed up for the second series of the BBC2 show, along with other Hyperdrive cast members Kevin Eldon, Miranda Hart, Stephen Evans, Dan Antopolski, Petra Massey and Paterson Joseph...

The first six-part series concludes on Wednesday and has averaged 1.5 million viewers in its 10pm slot so far - not outstanding figures, but on a par with what many BBC2 comedies get at that time of night.

I have to admit to being stunned!!!! i'm happy for the cast.

Hopefully the writers will raise their game and actually come up with some better gags as i think the cast is quality but just need something better to work with!!

I'm also stunned that BBC2 is happy with only 1.5 million viewers!! i know 2 is classed as a smaller channel but they usually expect higher ratings than that

Anyway you cut it, it's a half-hour less for reality television and that's a good thing. *nod*

I might even be caught up by then. Meep!
"Thanks, Dag. I love that Odeon."
