Hot Fuzz on Rotten Tomatoes Mid-Year Report

Postby Mayonnaise » Sun Jul 15, 2007 3:02 am

Rotten Tomatoes decided to do a mid-year report and post the top 25 movies of the year so far and the 10 worst.

The Jawsomeness that is Hot Fuzz came in 5th! beating out big blockbuster movies such as Die Hard and Grindhouse.

The Top10 was as follows:

10. The Lookout

9. Waitress

8. Zodiac

7. The Host (I honestly don't know what the big deal is with this movie. At first I was excited that a korean movie was getting lots of media, but after watching it... I'm just left scratching my head)

6. Sicko ( I think this is doing really badly in the box office. Such a shame)

5. Hot Fuzz  :brock:  :brock: ( we already know how great it is )

4. Knocked Up (Surprisingly good movie. Also according to Mr. Wright's blog entry.. he saw it twice :) )

3. Once

2. Away From Her

1. Ratatouille (well deserved)

You guys can check out the rest of the list here.

What are your opinions on the list?

Knocked Up is on the list?! My friend loaded it up and said it was the biggest waste of time in her life, but if Mr. Wright enjoyed it I must back down! At least the Fuzz did the business like we knew it would :D it just got knocked off the top of the UK rental top ten though. Hey, it had a good run!

Yeah we dont get Ratatouille till October, but I may have acidentallly watched it on the net. Whoops. (Its freaking fantastic!). Sicko was a very good movie, and I'm surprised its quite low on the list and it sort of gave me a (probably skewed) insight into American healthcare. Zodiac is also a must-see movie.

I had the chance to see Zodiac last week but opted to see Hot Fuzz again instead. Now it's not showing anymore. Guess I'll have to wait until it's on DVD to watch it.

I also loved Knocked Up and saw it twice too. :D About the other movies on the list, I haven't seen or even heard of them so I have no comment/opinion on them...
