Fullscreen edition? **barf**

EDIT: Oh god.. what have they done with the cover? I'm sure they could have put those quotes from reviews in a more fashionable way... :|

The covers are pretty hideous. What's the go with Fullscreen and Widescreen DVD releases over there? All our movies usually gets released with one version and it's widescreen. If you don't have a widescreen TV, can't you just go into the DVD player's options to view the movie fullscreen?

Wow, this is hideous.
Sigh. You really don't like anything, do you Thomas?

Yeah.. it looks like something you'll find in the bargain bin. :( Even though I'll be purchasing the US version as well... I'm so glad I ordered the UK version.

Oh and buddy.. I really don't understand it either... but some people actually buy them fullscreen ed. movies. :|

**EDIT:: Even though we saw it coming... I guess this makes it official too. The US gets a gimped single disc edition.

Well buying Fullscreen is just a waste of money then. :? At least the HD DVD cover is decent:

And this is what the Aussie DVD version will look like:

I might just get the HD-DVD version since it's a combo format, and the extras are the same.

They are the same, right?

Ah.. you guys get a nice 2-disc set... probably with a sleeve and all.

About the HD-DVD cover.. maybe it's because I don't own a HD movie player and movies yet, but I really dislike the cases.. and having the cover image always surrounded by that weird design kinda makes it look like one of those Greatest hits or Platinum hits covers for videogames.

What do you mean by combo format?

ah.. I looked up combo format and I didn't know they had those for HD-DVD's. I guess that's definately the one I'll be picking up then... maybe they'll be able to squeeze in all the extras from the UK version on there too? Wishful thinking...

It's something about US DVD covers. Even our HD DVD doesn't have that weird design on all of it's covers. And the combo format is another reason why HD DVD is better than Blu-Ray.
