The Official Hot Fuzz SPOILER THREAD (You were warned..)

Postby brendonconnelly » Thu Jan 18, 2007 2:31 pm

I saw it last night with at least 100 other people - all finished, apparently except some of the end credits were inaccurate.

I'll be posting my review later this evening...

Anybody who visits here at the screening?

You spoil anything and you die. Don't even tempt it. I'm not even going to read your review for fear of spoilers.
Sigh. You really don't like anything, do you Thomas?

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

Problem solved - I've taken advantage of the situation, tweaked Brendon's subject header and made this our official SPOILERS thread on Hot Fuzz.

From here on out, NO complaints from anyone who enters this thread that someone's ruined the movie for them. Anyone who catches an advance screening is welcome to discuss the film in depth here; likewise, after February 16th, the UK folks should restrict their discussion of the film to this thread so the folks in the US and elsewhere can remain unspoiled.

Spank you. Discuss away. ;)

Good call. There could well be LOADS of spoilers.

In fact, I might do a post that is nothing BUT spoilers. Maybe.

Here's a link to my first review of the film. I tried to keep spoilers to a minimum, but there's a couple of minor ones, inevitably.

So who managed to get to see Hot Fuzz last night? I went to the Reading screening and ABSOLUTELY BLOODY LOVED IT!!! Was there ever any doubt?! From the Universal world with sirens ringing I could not stop smiling and laughing through to the end of the film and all the way home ... and still today really!!! The relentless gags, references, twists, sublime acting and cast, dialogue, music ... it's all good. Better than good!

I read this article today which explains where the chocolate cake etc concept came from!

Yaaarrrppp!!!

Oh yes references.
I think I was the only one to laugh at the nod to Chinatown. ;)

I saw it last night with Juliet and Jake and we loved it! So funny, and yes Bev Porn did not disappoint! Loved it! What were your fave bits?

I loved the model villiage bit so funny, and Simon doing the montage of Nick Angels skills at the start of the film.

Well what can I say about this movie. It was brilliant, exciting, and amazing. Simon and Nick were brilliant and looking really fine in their uniform. They always work very well together. The movie is full of Action, comedy, kick ass gun shooting scene, and scenes that will make you jump out of your seat. I certainly have. The supporting cast where really good too. I really like Timothy Dalton and Jim Broadbent. I would like to see this movie again and again. Definitely going to get it on DVD when it comes

This film rocked my fuzz off!

It's so good!
I can't get over how good it was.
It never lets up either :D
It was quite squirmy too, mostly at the end, with the spire through the mouth part. Awwww!

To many great parts to start listing :D
