I didn't say we would, I said I wondered if we shouldn't. ;)

Double post attack! The Pegg sez:

Hot Fuzz is coming along well. A press release concerning the plot and the casting will be issued next week.

Come on then, folks, get those guesses in. Otherwise rhys walks away with all the dirty glory... ;-) (Or at least a papier mache statue of Bill Bailey in muddy overalls...)

I hope you've started making it.

Mark Heap better be in it. I miss him.
He was also the only good thing in Tim Burton's wanky Chocolate Factory. (OK, apart from Johnny Depp)

Noel Fielding! Noel Fielding!...please...
I'd love him to be in it, I don't know what or who he'd play though.

He could be a 70s glam rock star, that's if it is set in the 70s.
Can there be a pub scene where a non-local tries to get served, but is refused by the landlord who says "We don't serve your kind here!"
C'mon, indulge me!

Because their van broke down on the way to a gig? Yeeeeeeah. Let's get Rich Fulcher in there as the obnoxious American manager while we're at it.

At this rate, we'll end up with the British update of It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World...

Call me a Wicker Man fan if you want but Im hoping for the scene to be redone with Simon all hot and bothered in a hotel room while a naked witch is dancing the other side of the wall....Ok just me then!

I'd like to see Nick and Simon doing that sliding/jumping across a car bonnet thing.
Which I'd quite like to do as well, but I'm always afraid that I'll bugger up someone else's car as I haven't got one of my own.

Oh, yes. The Starsky special. ;) (Or is it Hutch...)

For 70's cop show cliches, it doesn't get any better. Except maybe the Police Woman credits bit where she cocks a giant shotgun like a pro. That'd be good. (Pegg would look fetching in that orange pantsuit, too. )

Ooh, funny cop/action cliches (bad word choice, let's call them "references" ;) ), nice topic shift Rache. Walking away calmly/bad-assed'ly and not flinching while an enormous explosion goes off in the background = always a winner.

Not a cop film, but mentioning calmly walking away from explosions instantly made me think of this:

And now I'm remembering Nick's "Let's Blay" impression.

Simon and Nick in a sweaty interrogation room wearing police uniforms...

They're doing the talk in Wells today, right?
I wonder if that will mean that we'll get a press release in the next couple of days presuming that they could be mentioning that kind of stuff to the locals.
