And all I'm seeing is perfect or almost perfect review scores. :?

What a surprise, right?
Sigh. You really don't like anything, do you Thomas?

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

I dont think the game is perfect...far from it but it blows every previous GTA out of the water a million times over.

*I disagree that the cars control like crap..crappy cars control like crap, big honkin suv's control like crap. The other cars control just fine, its just different then the other GTA's.
*The fighting isnt great but its better then any other GTA and the cover system takes the gun fights to a level never seen in a GTA before.
* The shadowing isnt great I will agree with that.
*Camera is the GTA camera, I didnt expect anything more.

If everything is "the same GTA" then why is still being lauded as this perfect game, if they have in fact not improved on anything at all?

Do you really think they haven't improved on anything at all? Really? I highly disagree.

Well, I think its just a matter of opinion. You loved Devil May Cry 4 Thomas, which I thought was boring as hell and the exact same game as 1-3.... So, meh guess we can all agree to disagree...
